Frequently Asked Questions One decision a blank manufacturer has to make when designing his/her blank is weight. A similar action can be achieved with an equal type of material by a number of different designs. A 5 weight blank can be designed to be very light with thin walls. The decision can also be to go for durability and have thicker walls. Neither way is better than the other. It is what the consumer wants. Some manufacturers have gone the route of light thin walls. They may have light; sensitive blanks but have traded durability to get this. This is not necessarily wrong, just a marketing/business decision. Others have gone for durability and their blanks will be heavier. Others will target a balance between the two. First Step Of Production ----> |
